About Paul Horne Photography

I am a family-orientated, independent photographer. I believe everyone is a perfect version of themselves and it is my goal to photograph your beauty and present it in a way that everyone will appreciate and enjoy for many years to come.

I have been photographing people, places and objects for several years and I am an accomplished photographic artist.

My office (situated above my wife's gift shop, 'Love LooLoo') now boasts what I believe to be the smallest portrait studio in the world! This enables me to do 'Quickshot' portraits at very little cost and makes an excellent gift for yourself or a loved one.

I am very flexible and can also photograph you in your home with my portable studio or outdoors at your favourite location, or if you prefer, at a hired hall.

I love a good wedding and I am always honoured to photograph your special day. I can also photograph parties, proms and any ceremony or event you can think of.

I am also available for commercial work, whether it be shooting for a website, brochure or advertising a product. I can cater for any need and endeavour to produce quality work whatever your budget.

They include some from my very first wedding shoot, which was taken on the old set of Emmerdale Farm - you may recognise the church.My style has a warm-hearted feel and I usually shoot in a variety of styles to express the essence of your day in the best possible way. The cake is looking as good as it tastes. The guests have (hopefully) dressed up. The whole day will whizz by and you will have many happy memories. But what if you can't remember? As a professional full-time photographer, I will photograph all the special moments that go by in the blink of an eye, and also ensure that those images are truly stunning, with a warm-hearted feeling.Whatever the weather, time of year or unexpected events throw at you on your day, I will ensure that I take amazing photographs. Price: £350This is an ideal option for those who want their wedding photographed by a professional but wish to save money. Photographs of people arriving will be taken, as well as the ceremony and the traditional wedding groups. I will also take portrait shots of the newlyweds at a nearby location. This is a great experience and results in many beautiful, treasured photographs. It also gives the newlyweds a chance for a little relaxation during the hectic day! I will supply as many images as possible on a CD for you to print and share. The quality of the photos will be exactly the same high standard as you would expect from the full packages.Travel costs: Please be aware that all prices include my time on the day and all time spent planning and in post-production. We cover all areas of the U.K. and are happy to travel abroad as well. Travel expenses are included if your wedding is within a 30 mile radius of Melksham, Wiltshire. For all other locations please call us for a quote.

I will create truly stunning images in your own home, or in a local village hall using our portable studio. You may want to have the ever-popular white background... maybe something traditional with a coloured background... or even a little more moody with a black background to accentuate the shadows. Whatever your choice, we can accomodate you. Price includes one A4 print and DVD slideshow of all images. Extra prints, albums, etc. are available to purchase. Going out on location is not only an excellent way to be photographed in a relaxed environment, but it also means that the backgrounds of your photographs will be totally unique to you, and they make truly amazing, beautiful pieces of art to be admired. I will be happy to travel to your favourite location and will travel fifty miles for free. Thereafter, we charge just 40p per mile. Price includes one A4 print and DVD slideshow of all images. With a 100% record from the Passport Office, Paul Horne Photography is the first choice for passport-sized photographs, recommended by the local Post Office and other photographers! I also take amazing head- and shoulder-shots for use with casting agencies, and go to businesses that need corporate head-shots for their records, website or security passes (call for a quote).Prices:Passport: £6.00Basic Casting Photo: £15 (in-house studio)Creative Casting Photo: £80 (on location)

There are many reasons why you may need to hire a commercial photographer, just some of those are listed above, but the underlying reason is because an image needs to be portrayed that gives the right message to the viewer. A picture does tell a thousand words, and by hiring Paul Horne Photography you will receive the photographs that you need.I can work to a detailed brief, or just a brief idea, but the outcome is the same: great photographs!My rates are amongst the best in the business, giving you true value for money, which is important in the current economic climate. Every job is different and you will need to contact us for a detailed quote. Here is an overview of my rates:
In the Studio (ideal for small product photography): £40 for the first hour, thereafter just £20 per hour.On Location: £80 for the first hour (up to 5 images). Up to half day (up to 5 hours with approximately 10 images) £200. Full day (5 to 10 hours with approximately 20 images) £400. If you require more images, please call for a detailed quote, as it varies depending on the subject matter. I look forward to hearing from you.

Love photography but can't get to grips with your camera? Are you always chopping heads off or getting that beautiful landscape out of focus? Do you know what focus even is? Can't figure out Photoshop? Don't worry because I can offer good simple advice and techniques for beginners that won't leave you baffled but will give you the skills to produce great photographs.
Whether your camera is a DSLR or a simple point and click, my workshops are for you. My classes are aimed at beginners wishing to get started or improve on basic knowledge on taking photographs and ost production. I offer tuition as a group or as an individual. The group classes start at 10am on a Sunday and finish at approximately 4pm (although I don't rush things so occasionally this runs over). Individual training can be arranged for any day of the week, subject to availabilty. All ages welcome.
